Three people plead guilty to sex trafficking minor in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Three people have entered guilty pleas in federal court for conspiring to traffic two minors in Grand Rapids and Holland, Michigan.

Anthony Wilson-Lackey, 22, Shyron Smith, 22, and Stephanie Martin, 24, pleaded guilty Friday. Investigators say that Wilson-Lackey recruited the 15 and 16-year-old and provided them to paying customers for sex in motels around Grand Rapids and an apartment complex in Holland.  Martin rented the rooms and helped post online ads promoting the minors for sex. Smith drove the minors to the motels and Holland and split the profits with Wilson-Lackey.  All three defendants told investigators that they knew the minors were only 15 and 16 years old.

The trio will be sentenced sometime this summer.  Martin and Smith face up to five years in prison. Wilson-Lackey could get up to life in prison.
