COLDWATER, Mich. - A handful of protesters marched on the Branch County courthouse in Coldwater Monday to protest the sentence of a man who pleaded guilty to raping two-year-old twin girls.
Matthew Williams was sentenced two weeks ago to up to 15 years in prison for raping his girlfriend's twin daughters. He pleaded no contest to third degree criminal sexual conduct.
Protesters, including the girl's grandmother, feel the sentence should be longer.
The girl's mother actually spent 30 days in jail for lying to police and covering up for Williams.
