Maura McAfee has a club all to herself in the Hope women's basketball record books.
By grabbing her 1,000th career rebound on Wednesday in the third-ranked Flying Dutch's 83-47 win over Kalamazoo, McAfee became the first player in program history to score 1,000 career points and pull down 1,000 career boards.
The Flying Dutch (24-0, 15-0 MIAA) also clinched an outright conference championship with Wednesday's win over the Hornets.
McAfee is just the second basketball player at Hope -- men's or women's -- to join the 1,000/1,000 club. Floyd Brady was the first to accomplish the feat, starring for the Flying Dutchmen from 1964-1968.
