Good morning! It’s been a wintry morning for the most part. We’ve seen light snow and a nice dusting throughout most of the region.
A snapshot of the radar shortly before 10 AM shows that the bulk of the snow is over with, and light flurries will continue to be in play for the first half of the day.
If you’re looking for some good news that doesn’t involve snow, I’ve got two pieces of it. The first being that we are picking up about 2-3 minutes of daylight per day. The two days highlighted in red are significant because March 13 is when we’ll set our clocks forward for the spring. Speaking of spring, it’s just a week later! Warmer weather is on the way, regardless of this morning.
A dry day is expected tomorrow but another light burst of snow will arrive into the early morning hours of Wednesday.
More good news for those who are ready for warmer weather. The Climate Prediction Center estimates that we’ll see a 60% chance for warmer weather within the next couple of weeks!
Advanced tracking for the end of the week shows an abundance of warm air to the south that will gradually nudge into the Great Lakes region.
By Friday morning, Future Track temps already has most of our area into the upper 30s and low 40s! This will springboard us into a warmer weekend before a brief cooldown. Are you ready for spring yet? I would say that I am, although we’ve had it pretty good this winter if you like milder air. Have a great Monday. See you tomorrow!
