KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich - National exposure for a long-standing Kalamazoo County homicide investigation has investigators believing they are one step closer to solving the unsolved.
Erik Cross was 16 years old when he was found dead by his father outside their Vicksburg home in the summer of 1983. Since his death, rumors and stories surrounding the circumstances of the tragedy has police believing there is a core group of people who know what happened to him.
This week, Crime Watch Daily, a program which airs on FOX17, featured the investigation. The national exposure is leading to new tips that could help break a 'Code of Silence' that's surrounded the investigation since the beginning.
