MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — A Ravenna teenager involved in a deadly crash that killed his sister last weekpassed away Wednesday, according to his family’s memorialFacebook page.
Peter Kubasiak, 16, died nearly a week after suffering critical injuries in a crash that also claimed the life of his 10-year-old sister, Erika. The three were heading to school last Thursday morning when their vehicle struck another vehicle head-on.
Peter’s parents, John and Annie Kubasiak, said on the Kubasiak Family Care Page:
“On this day, February 10,2016, a beautiful spirit left the mind and body of our son Peter. Like a butterfly reborn from the cocoon, he is free. Free from the trappings of this world. And though we all will grieve for some time, look for the spring butterflies and smile. Our son Peter wouldn’t want it any other way.”
The eldest sister Emily Kubasiak, 18, also suffered critical injuries, but is said to be improving, according to the social media update.
