This Queso dip from Red Gold is a perfect example, as you’re able to either microwave it in minutes, or if you have a little more time, use the stovetop.

If you’re using the microwave, you’ll first need to dice up one pound of cheese and put into a microwave safe bowl. Next, open up a can of Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies and combine that into the bowl of cheese. Microwave on high for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted, stirring after 2 minutes.

If you’re using a conventional stove, the steps are the exact same, except replace a bowl with a saucepan. You’ll want to use a low temperature, stirring until the cheese is melted. This is a nice change-up from the typical processed cheese dip on most game day menues.

If you want a more mild queso, replace the Petite Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies with Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes with Lime Juice and Cilantro, that has been drained. The best thing about Red Gold Tomatoes is they are non-BPA and non-GMO.

Once you’re finished, you can enjoy your queso dip with hot bread sticks, tortilla chips or assorted veggies.
