GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--The Griffins are hitting the ice this weekend for their 14th annual Great Skate, and their 8th annual WinterFest.

Families and Griffins players, along with community members, will hit the ice at Rosa Parks Circle to help benefit the Griffins Youth Foundation.

The event starts at noon Saturday with the WinterFest. The Great Skate begins at 10 p.m. Saturday, and lasts 24-hours.

It's free to attend, but costs $2 for adults to skate; $1 for kids.

Sports demonstrations, ice sculptors, horse-drawn carriages, and family activities will feature throughout the weekend.
