CROTHERSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Indiana State Police say a 100-year-old Michigan woman died and two other people were seriously injured when a sport-utility vehicle overturned along a southern Indiana highway.

Eleanor Burklow of Portage, Michigan, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries she suffered in Sunday evening’s crash along Interstate 65 about 40 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky.

Police said 74-year-old Richard Gulbis of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his SUV and it overturned along the highway just south of the town of Crothersville.

Gulbis and his 72-year-old wife, Sharon Gulbis, were seriously injured and transported to a Louisville hospital. Police said Burklow was Sharon Gulbis’ mother.

Police said falling temperatures and light snow falling in the area may have contributed to Sunday’s deadly crash.
