Meth lab found in Lawton home; two women facing charges

LAWTON, Mich. – Two Van Buren County women are facing charges of operating a meth lab in a Lawton, Michigan home.

The two women have not yet been arrested.  Their names will not be released until they are formally charged.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s office says that they had been investigating the possibility of a methamphetamine lab operating in a home in the 200 block of Morrill Street in Lawton.  Monday afternoon, deputies from the sheriff’s department, officers from Lawton police and Animal Control officers executed a search warrant at the home.  The two women were not home at the time.

Investigators found suspected meth oil from a one pot meth lab reaction vessel and other items used in the making of meth.  They also say they found finished meth and other items used to smoke meth.
