AROUND WEST MICHIGAN: It's an exciting day worldwide as people are gearing up to head into 2016. There's a lot going on around West Michigan to help you ring in the New Year in style.
GRAND RAPIDS:
-The Hot New Years Eve Party:
It's happening in downtown Grand Rapids near Grandville and Cherry Avenue. There will be performances by GR's big talent winner, Ja-Leeyna Dooley... as well as Kevin Rudolph, Five Knives, and Carolina Liar. The party starts at 7:00PM and doesn't stop until midnight with the annual ball drop.
-Beer Tours:
You can enjoy a local brewery tour this Holiday. It will take you around town to visit places like Perrin Brewing Company, The Mitten Brewing Company, and Harmony Hall. The tour includes 12 large beer samples, a private tour, and transportation to and from the different locations.
-The 19th Annual New Years Eve Celebration & Griffins Game:
It starts at 6:00pm at the Van Andel... doors open starting at 5:00pm. There will be an open skate and an indoor firework show following the game. Ticket prices vary for this event.
GRANDVILLE:
-Terry Hall Roller Rink:
They're having their traditional family skate Thursday night from 6:30PM - 9:30PM. It's fun for all ages. It's $5 per skater, and that includes skate rentals.
KALAMAZOO:
-Annual New Years Fest:
It's happening in Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo. It's a showcase of performing arts suitable for all ages. There you'll find a variety of things like music, magic, food, comedy and more... even a firework show at midnight.
