GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – Federal authorities say a fugitive recently featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted has been arrested after trying to give police a fake name to avoid his capture.
Xavier Antonio Ross, 24, was arrested on December 6 after a traffic stop near Hall Street and U.S. 131 in Grand Rapids. A Michigan State Police Trooper cited both Ross and the driver of the vehicle for marijuana possession. Ross was also taken into custody on his probation violation after he admitted his real identity.
Ross, who was featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted in September, violated his parole in early July after serving time for home invasion and possession of burglars tools. The crimes occurred in Kent County in late 2010 and early 2011.
