GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- The holidays can double as being the most wonderful, yet stressful time of the year.
Business and life coach Kathi Jo DeYoung of Ignite Me discusses ways people can release the pressures of the holidays and life in healthy ways.
To help alleviate holiday pressures, there are three steps you can take each day to regain control and take charge:
1st - Look at the positive - There is always something to be grateful for. Finding little things to be grateful for can help to ease the pressure of the holidays including work and family demands.
2nd - Stay Present - Remain present in the moment. Push away the lure of spending on everything, attending several parties, and unnecessary deadlines. Because an opportunity presents itself doesn't mean it's the right thing to do at this time.
3rd - Keep Perspective - Although holidays are often called the "best time of year" the realities of life remain. For example, personal losses, financial problems, health problems, work problems and society heartaches do occur.
