WYOMING, Mich. — A 20-year-old woman has been charged after police say a man was beaten with a baseball bat while responding to a Craigslist ad for an iPhone.

According to Wyoming Police, the incident happened Oct. 6 near Lamar Park.  Brianna Lynne Torrez allegedly placed an ad on Craigslist and then agreed to meet up with the man.

The man was beaten with a bat by someone who accompanied Torrez to the meeting, according to police.  The two stole $300 and the man’s car keys, police said.

Torrez was arrested earlier this month after the victim identified her in a lineup, according to police.  She is facing charges of armed robbery and using a computer to commit a crime.

According to online court records, she faces up to life in prison if convicted and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Police say the man who accompanied Torrez to the meeting and allegedly beat the victim has been identified but has not yet been formally charged.
