SPRING LAKE, Mich. — A 10-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car while he crossed a Spring Lake street Monday morning.
The crash happened at about 10:05 a.m. on Savage Street at Division, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The boy crossed Savage in the crosswalk and was struck by a westbound car driven by a 21-year-old Spring Lake man.
The boy suffered head and lower body injuries but they are not considered life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s office. No other injuries were reported.
