GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — On Friday around 8:45 p.m., a driver discovered Carole Jean Blum and took her to an area hospital, police say .
Earlier in the day, Blum, 74, went missing around 6:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of Whispering Way Drive SE.
Grand Rapids Police confirm she is safe and being cared for.
Police say Blum has dementia and may have been trying to get to her former address in the 900 block of Lake Drive.
