ALBION, Mich. – The Albion Department of Public Safety and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says that they have seized one of their largest meth operations in county history.
Officers were called the home in the 800 block of Irwin Monday afternoon on a tip that there was possibly meth being produced at the home. As they tried to make contact with a resident, officers spotted meth components in the garage of the home. They got a search warrant for the property and then spent over six hours in hazmat suits clearing the home.
The Calhoun County Health Department has ordered the home to be vacated. Officers say that the operation posed no public health hazard outside of the property.
