Another week closer to firearm deer season and there is still time to scout out the perfect locations.
Al & Bob's Sports Merle Shoemaker showed us some tips.
Just because an area may be perfect for deer, doesn't mean that it is a good idea to hunt there. Merle says if you bother the deer too much, they turn nocturnal and move at night and you won't get the opportunity to bag one.
The next step is to find one of their food sources. Bean fields, corn fields and acorns are great sources. Set up your blind or tree stand nearby.
