NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. -- Philip Elzinga, 44, was charged Thursday with four counts of perjury in connection with the homicides of a Newaygo County couple.
Joseph Cherneski, 56, and Patricia VanDyk, 55, were found shot to death in their Brohman home in November 2012.
Elzinga is accused of lying during 2014 testimony he gave in connection to the murders.
He is currently behind bars on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court Nov. 19.
