GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A Grand Rapids organization working to end homelessness announced a new fundraising campaign and a new location for those needing assistance Thursday.
Family Promise of Grand Rapids announced the "A Journey Home" $2 million campaign at their new location, 516 Cherry Street SE. More than $1.6 million of the campaign has already been raised.
The new location provides 10,000 square feet of Day Center space for families in the center, meeting rooms and office space. The new space provides more privacy for families at the center, barrier-free accessibility and a room for napping children. The location is the main location where families receive emergency assistance, rehousing and other services from Family Promise.
