GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Runners from all over the nation faced the cold in Grand Rapids Sunday morning to compete in the 12th annual Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon.

The Grand Rapids Marathon is a 26-mile course spanning across the city. It was founded in 2004 and promises to deliver a personable race experience for runners of all calibers, even offering a "velocity challenged" head start to runners who expect to take longer than five hours to complete the run.
