MASON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman is recovering after her vehicles was rear-ended by Saturday afternoon.
Cass County deputies said the crash happened on U.S. 12 near Kessington Rd. in Mason Township just before 3 p.m. Saturday.
A 45-year-old Lake Odessa woman was driving westbound on U.S. 12 when she began to brake and slow down with traffic.
Deputies said another driver in a car behind her didn’t see the other vehicles slowing down and rear-ended the woman’s car.
The woman was taken a local hospital with pains in her head.
A 1-year-old who was in the woman’s vehicle was not injured.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and safety belts and child restraints were used. The crash remains under investigation.
