Hurricane Joaquin track shifts away from East Coast

CENTRAL BAHAMAS- The projected storm track of Hurricane Joaquin has shifted east toward open waters.

The hurricane was upgraded to a Category 4 storm with winds Friday morning reaching up to 130 miles per hour with gusts up to 160.

10 to 20 inches of rainfall is expected today through the Bahamas, as the hurricane has stalled over the area.

As of Friday morning the storm is only moving 3 miles per hour.

Flooding is expected along the east coast this weekend.
