GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Dégagé Ministries is encouraging people to buy and give out $2 vouchers to panhandlers instead of cash.
The vouchers can be used to purchase items like food or do laundry. Staff at Dégagé say it is more effective than handing out cash.
You can buy the vouchers at the shelter at 144 S. Division in Grand Rapids or on their website.
