SAGINAW, Mich. – Friday’s Muskegon Heights Academy football game has been moved to an away game.
Friday night’s game will now be played at Saginaw Nouvel, according to a tweet from Saginaw Nouvel’s football program. The JV game will be at 4:00pm and the varsity at 7:00pm.
Muskegon Heights has already had one game canceled this season. Their September 4 matchup versus Muskegon Catholic Central was canceled after some felt the game scene would not be safe. Earlier that week, a teen with a sawed-off shotgun had entered Muskegon Heights Academy. No shots were fired and no one was hurt, but one person was arrested. There have also been at least four shootings in the area in recent weeks.
