SAN FRANCISCO — It’s time for another one of Apple’s patented press events. Will the company announce the long-rumored Apple TV update? How about new iPhones, a giant iPad, and some snazzy new Apple Watch straps?
We know from the invitation from Apple that the announcement will definitely include Siri-related news. We’ll find out more when the big event starts at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
Many expect the biggest news will focus on an updated Apple TV. An app store open to third parties and a tricked out remote with Siri could make Apple TV a gaming powerhouse or a centralized controller for a smart home.
The company is also due to update its iPhone line.
And one of the more intriguing rumors is that Apple is working on a larger version of its iPad to appeal to professionals and businesses.
When it comes to these events, Apple is a well-oiled machine. Led by Tim Cook, a roster of Apple execs and some special guests will take the stage to unveil the latest products. They happen every fall, giving the company a nice lead time before the holidays to build anticipation for new products.
