Former Muskegon pastor’s rape conviction upheld

MUSKEGON, Mich. — On Wednesday, a Court of Appeals upheld the rape conviction of a longtime Muskegon pastor.

In 2014, then 77-year-old Carlton Lindbergh Johnson will be sentenced for two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and for one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in June.  He was arrested and charged with the crimes in June 2013 after one of the victim’s came forward to police in 2012.

Prosecutors with Muskegon County tells FOX 17 NEWS  the conviction was affirmed.
