HOWARD CITY, Mich. – Two Chicago teens are in jail for allegedly selling counterfeit goods at a Montcalm County flea market.
Detectives from the Michigan State Police Sixth District Tobacco Tax Enforcement Team inspected the Burley Park Flea Market Monday and found several vendors selling counterfeit purses, perfumes and headphones. One suspect tried to run from officers, but he was captured. A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old who had traveled to the event from Chicago were arrested on felony charges.
Over 400 items with a value of about $10,000 was seized including counterfeit Beats headphones and MK purses.
