Greenville, SC (WHNS) — While speaking at a campaign stop in South Carolina on Thursday, Donald Trump turned the topic of conversation to his hair.
Trump kicked off the event at the TD Convention Center in Greenville by discussing a recent New York Times article in which a Spanish radio host referred to Trump as, “El hombre del peluquín.”
This translates to, “the man with the toupee.”
Trump adamantly asserted his hair is his own, and even invited a woman from the audience on stage to touch his locks.
“You have to do an inspection because this is getting crazy,” Trump said.
When Trump asked the woman if his hair was real after the inspection, she took to the podium to say, “Yes, I believe it is.”
Trump did make one admission about his hair care during the event.
“But we don’t want to mess it up too much because I do use hair spray,” he said.
