GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A teenager was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after he fell out of a tree.
At 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency personnel responded to a report of a person having fallen from a tree at Rush Creek Park at 6800 Bridgeport Ave. in Georgetown Township. Upon arriving at the scene, rescue workers discovered that Jordan Odehnao, 19, of Georgetown Township was visiting the park, had climbed a tree and then fell from a height of 20 feet.
Odehnao suffered injuries to his head and back. He was transported by Life Ambulance to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where no condition report was available later Wednesday.
The incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
