GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A third suspect is facing charges related to running an illegal gambling ring out of Putt Putt’s Bar, 1148 W. Fulton St., according to Grand Rapids Police.

Kevin Michael McKenny, 39, has been charged with conspiracy to gamble, taking bets, possession of gambling paraphernalia and selling pools and registering bets.   He faces up to eight years behind bars if convicted of all charges.

On Monday, Barry Lott, 66, of Byron Center, and Mark Stouten, 73, of Grand Rapids were arraigned on the same charges as McKenny in connection with the alleged West Side gambling operation.

Stouten is being charged as a repeat felony offender.

Police told FOX 17 that in late May they received a tip last year of illegal betting going on inside Putt Putt’s Bar.  Undercover officers trailed the men last fall and, according to court documents, watched the men conduct gambling business at the bar. The officers say they even made bets with the men.

McKenney is scheduled to be back in court Sept. 3.  Lott and Stouten  are due back Aug. 28.
