RODNEY, Mich. – A camp counselor is under investigation after allegations he climbed into bed with campers touching  them.

The counselor was let go from Cran-Hill Ranch in Rodney July 10.  The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) is also investigating that the camp did not take the proper steps after campers made reports to camp staff.

The Mecosta County Sheriff says that the prosecutor has issued a warrant for the counselor in question.  He is currently living in Indiana.

The LARA investigation shows that the counselor had gone into camper bunks during the week of June 21 and the counselor told staff that he had problems with sleep walking.  After he did it again on July 9, he was released from the camp.

Other counselors were informed of the incidents after the June occurrences, but camp administration and law enforcement were not notified at that time.
