GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Mastercraft Throwdown for the X-Games is taking place this weekend at Millennium Park. Top names in wake boarding will be battling it out for the top spot.

It's an event you've likely never seen before with a ski flying legend attempting to beat a world record with crazy water antics, and a country star rocking out to cap it all off.

FOX 17's Cassandra Arsenault was out where the event will take place this weekend.

Event organizers expect to see about 4,000 people on Saturday.

The  biggest names in wake boarding will be in Grand Rapids. Harley Clifford, Mike Dowdy and legendary ski jumper known as the "the nightmare" or Freddie Krueger will be attempting to break the world record of 299 feet.

Country music fans will also have the chance to see Kip Moore perform.

The gates open at 12:30 p.m. and will cost you $35.00 to get in.
