KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Authorities are on the look out for a suspect after a woman was allegedly assaulted Wednesday evening.
It happened on Western Michigan University’s Asylum Lake property. It’s near the intersection of Parkview Avenue and Drake Road in Kalamazoo.
Western Michigan University reported a man wearing a white T-shirt and red basketball shorts and sunglasses allegedly knocked the woman down and assaulted her.
The suspect was described as being 20 to 28 years old, having either a tan or dark complexion with brown hair, and as being 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 11 inches tall.
Authorities continue to investigate and urge people to avoid walking alone on the 274-acre natural preserve until the crime is solved.
