CORNWALL, U.K. – The ex-husband of a Meijer family member is in jail in the United Kingdom for trying to blackmail the woman by posting pornographic images of her online.

The story was reported by the British Broadcasting Company Tuesday.

In the story, James Cabolt admitted to blackmailing and stalking Haley Meijer and harassing two other women.

The BBC reports that Casbolt met Haley Meijer on Facebook and they met in May of 2010.  They got married in September 2011 and moved to Michigan. Casbolt then joined the U.S. Army.  While he was posted to a base in Texas, he asked her to send her sexually explicit photos, which she did.

The couple split in 2013 and then Casbolt allegedly posted the images online and demanded millions in blackmail.

According to the BBC, Casbolt was sentenced to five years in prison for blackmail and four years for stalking.  He was also sentenced another three years for harassing two other women, one of whom was surfing star Anastassia “Tassy” Swallow.

Haley Meijer is the daughter of Hank Meijer, the CEO of the Meijer grocery stores.
