Kentwood, Mich.– One man is in serious condition after gunfire erupted near a Kent County apartment complex.
Police in Kent County say a dispute broke out near Eastland Apartments, on Forest Creek Court in Kentwood.
Authorities say the fight was between the victim and his current girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, taking a violent turn.
The victim, whom is in his early twenties, was rushed to a local hospital.
The weapon used in the shooting has been recovered and suspect is in custody, according to police.
Streets leading into Eastland Apartments complex are expected to be blocked off for another hour.
