West Michigan’s Most Wanted Featured Fugitive captured in Ohio

Posted

WEST MICHIGAN – The U.S. Marshal Western Michigan Fugitive Task Force has announced the arrest of a man who was wanted out of the Grand Rapids area for failing to register as a sex offender.

A U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force was able to take Charles Loe, 31, into custody in Columbus, Ohio after receiving information on his possible whereabouts from federal authorities here in West Michigan.

Investigators say Loe attempted to run out of the back of the home he was located in, but was quickly apprehended by both Task Force Officers and deputies at the scene.

Loe is also being charged in Columbus with failing to register as a sex offender and is currently under investigation by the U.S. marshals for possible violations of the federal Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.

Federal authorities say Loe will not be extradited to Michigan on his arrest warrant from Grand Rapids Police, instead being prosecuted for his crimes in Ohio.
