KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Seeing color is something that many of us take for granted.  But for Liam Chechak, it is something he wishes he could do everyday.

When Liam was three, his parents noticed that his ability to build Legos was great, but his color schemes never matched.  Liam was diagnosed with being colorblind - red, brown and green pieces all looked the same.

"When I say I'm colorblind, It's misnomer a little bit, because I can in fact see color, it's just not correct compared to what everybody else sees. I see a completely different world," Liam Chechak said.

The Mattawan High School senior can still see color, just not the same way that most people do. He doesn't "do art" and just last year he learned that money is green.

Liam hopes to buy a pair of EnChroma Glasses, which help enrich and filter light, so people like him can see color the right way.

"I see the world and they see the world, but they will never see the world as I do, but these glasses will allow me to see the world they do," said Chechak.

Liam has started an online fundraiser to raise money to buy the glasses.  If you'd like to help, click here to donate: https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/1343250
