GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - This week in Gone Fishing, we go after the big ones on the big lake.

Unfortunately, they taper off during June and July, but lake trout, steelhead and others still make Lake Michigan a world-class fishery.

“You need safe equipment. Be safe out there. This fishery is not made for the little guys...The equipment you need is a little heavier. Don’t go out there with a bass or bluegill rod, you need some of the heavier duty equipment. And watch the weather!"
