Chick-fil-A coming to West Michigan

Posted

HOLLAND, Mich.–A fast-food chicken restaurant is making its way to West Michigan.

Chick-fil-A, Inc. will be setting up shop at the former Perkins Restaurant & Bakery on North Park Drive in Holland, right off U.S. 31, according to a real estate company. Chick-fil-A told FOX 17 Thursday that they expect to start the building process of a restaurant in Holland in the next two years.  They also say they are looking for a location in Grand Rapids.

According to Aaron Eichenberg, an agent with NorthStar Commercial, plans are still being made.  It’s unclear yet if the restaurant will be run through corporate or a franchisee.

Chick-fil-A sent us this statement earlier:

At Chick-fil-A we are constantly evaluating potential new locations for our restaurant expansion. The Western Michigan market represents a tremendous opportunity to serve our customers and fans delicious food in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. The state of Michigan has been on our radar for several years following the strong success of other Midwestern markets.  The enthusiasm and excitement that we have seen throughout the years, has provided momentum and a strong customer base for being able to add additional locations and markets over the next several years.  At this time, there is nothing more to report.
