PORTLAND, Mich. - A little over a week ago, an EF-1 tornado rocked the city of Portland, but the community is already bouncing back.
Wednesday, one of the churches that was not damaged by the storm presented $16,000 to four churches that were damaged on June 22nd.
St. Patrick's Catholic Church held their annual Summerfest this past weekend and designated 25% of the proceeds to the damaged churches.
"They would have done the same thing for us," said Father Larry King of St. Patrick's. "We work really well together...helping each other's communities in different kinds of ways, even beyond our church communities."
