BELDING Mich. — A babysitter was arrested on Monday after allegedly abusing a 1-year-old child.
Belding Police confirm the reported incident happened in March when the child’s mother picked her up and noticed she was covered in makeup. Police say the makeup was used to conceal claw marks and cuts on her body.
Smith was arraigned on Tuesday in 64A District Court for 3rd degree child abuse.
Officials said the woman’s bond was set at $2,000.
