KALAMAZOO, Mich. –
Two men are in custody after a home invasion and stabbing Saturday night in Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to a call at approximately 7:40 p.m. from a female resident in the Drakes Pond Apartment Complex.
Kalamazoo Public Safety said in a news release that a male subject entered the woman’s apartment and shoved her down.
The investigation showed that the subject then fled back to his apartment. He came out a short time later stabbed and covered in blood. A second male subject exited the same apartment.
Officers found the stabbed subject in a vehicle within the complex. The second subject was also located in the complex covered in blood but no injuries.
Authorities reported that both men were taken to a local hospital. The first subject was treated for stab wounds to his head and abdomen.
The second man was treated for complications with drug use.
After being treated, both subjects were placed at the county jail.
The first male is in custody for home invasion, while the other for assault with intent.
