17-year-old from Muskegon heading to trial for alleged park shooting

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MICH. — He’s accused of shooting a 17-year-old in Seyferth Park and soon the case will head to trial.

Joshua Rashard Green, 17 appeared in court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing as a result of an alleged shooting that happened on May 13. The Muskegon County prosecutor confirms another 17-year-old male was shot in the leg last month and a judge bound over the case to circuit court for trial. Green faces  charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felonious assault.

Officials said Green was being held at the Muskegon County Jail on a $470,000 bond. His next court appearance is scbeduled for June 8.
