FERRYSBURG, Mich. -- One person was hurt after a car struck a moped Monday afternoon.
It happened around 3:00 p.m. on North Shore Estates in Ferrysburg.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said a 66-year-old woman from Spring Lake was driving north on Norton Shores Estates Road and failed to notice the moped had stopped for a stop sign. The moped rider, a 53-year-old man from Spring Lake, suffered a head injury. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said the man was not wearing a helmet.
The woman was not hurt and police said she was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
