BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A police dog tracked down the first of three suspects who were all arrested on charges they broke into a Battle Creek home and stole firearms and prescription narcotics. The crime and capture took place shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The trio is accused of the break-in and theft on Scenery Street after two suspects were seen leaving the scene on foot and another one in a vehicle. The K-9 unit tracked the suspects on foot, and one of them was found and arrested about a mile away.
A little later, a suspect was found trying to hide in an apartment complex near Territorial Road and Riverside Drive. The suspect had gun and drugs taken in the break-in.
The third suspect was located and arrested in the 300 block of E. Burnham Street.
All of the suspects are in jail awaiting arraignment on felony charges.
