BETHESDA, Md. — The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of several popular crossbow models, over concerns that they can still fire even when the safety is engaged.

TenPoint and Wicked Ridge crossbows — After the safety has been re-engaged, the crossbows can fire under certain circumstances if a consumer pulls the trigger, posing an injury hazard. About 127,000 units are impacted in this recall. They were sold at national retailers that include Cabela’s, MC Sports, and many others. TenPoint has received 19 reports that arrows/bolts unintentionally released from the crossbows. There are no reports of any injuries. Repairs and inspections are available.
