GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A senior at Forest Hills Northern High School will finish up his high school career at home.
Principal Jon Gregory told FOX 17 NEWS that the student made a threat on April 15 on school grounds in response to a group of students asking him questions that he didn’t appreciate. Upon learning of the threat the next day, school officials questioned the teenager, who admitted the threat and was removed from school.
School administrators met with the student’s parents Monday. The parents offered to keep the student out of school for the remainder of the school year.
The student will finish his assignments independently so that he can graduate.
Gregory sent a letter to families Friday about the incident.
