Prosecutor identifies suspect in deadly Muskegon Heights shooting

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Prosecutors in Muskegon County have identified a teenager  being held on an open murder charge following a deadly shooting in Muskegon Heights early Friday morning.

Quantay Aldridge, 18, was arrested Friday following the deadly shooting in the area of Columbia Avenue and Park Street around 12:20 a.m. the same day.

Elishua Pinegar, 21, was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the early morning shooting.

Two felony counts were filed against Aldridge on Saturday, including open murder and felony firearms charges.

“These charges were made possible by the extraordinary team effort of the Muskegon Heights Police Department and the Violent Crimes Task Force,” said Chief Assistant Prosectuor Timothy Maat.

Aldridge is being held without bond in the Muskegon County jail, awaiting arraignment.
