GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police say a man was stabbed with a broken bottle in Grand Rapids early Sunday morning, and then, just a few blocks away, a car involved in an accident had the same type of bottle inside.
It all unfolded at around 5:00 a.m. on Grandville Avenue SW near Hall Street SW. Police say a man showed up on someone’s porch, with blood all over his shirt. He had been stabbed in the chest with a broken bottle.
Just a couple of blocks up the road on Grandville, a white Audi was involved in a car crash. While officers found no suspects, they did locate the same type of bottles in the car, that had been used in the stabbing just moments before.
The victim is said to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No suspects are in custody at this time.
